Label and color Middle East Map using the map on p. RA-27 or this map at Wikipedia Commons Label the following items on the map:
Countries: Egypt, Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Turkey, Cyprus, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, U.A.E. (Do not spell out United Arab Emirates), Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Oman, Yemen, Qatar. Color each country a different color.
Bodies of Water: Black Sea, Mediterranean Sea, Red Sea, Persian Gulf, Arabian Sea, Caspian SeaColor all water blue. *All other areas not colored (the diagonal lines area)---shade in with light brown or gray. *Use black ink or black Sharpie for labeling. 4. Start on Guided Reading 4-2
Wednesday - Thursday, Nov. 10-11, 2010
1. Take Practice Test over Middle East Map---this will not count as a grade.
When you are finished with the test, turn it over and get out a red pen. Remember, test is this Friday!
Begin working on the other items below.
2. Did you turn in the colored Middle East Map today? Directions for map are above on #3, Nov. 8 & 9.
3. Did you complete the Guided Reading 4-2? When completed, turn it into your homeroom tray.
4. Work on Guided Reading 4-3 (front & back). Pick up from Laptop table. When completed, turn into homeroom tray.
5. Work on packet “Document Based Questions—Afghanistan & Iraq.” Do not turn in.
6. If you have time, you may review for the map test by playing the Hard Middle East Map Game.
7. If you finished all of the above, you may a view a video clip on Islam and Mecca. Click HERE
